KUALA LUMPUR (June 22): The merger between RHB Bank Bhd and AMMB Holdings Bhd is timely based on the valuation of the banking groups, said Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) chairman Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar.

“Given that the valuation is about one time book, it is probably the right time to do a merger," said Abdul Wahid.
