SHOUTS OF ‘BOSSKU’ RING OUT – EVEN NAJIB SAYS ‘CONFUSED’ BY HIS SUDDEN POPULARITY: BUT PLAIN & SIMPLE, IT’S REACTION TOWARDS DR MAHATHIR & HIS DIVISIVE WAYS – NO ONE KNOWS HOW PAKATAN WILL END UP, WHO DR M WILL FORCE THROUGH AS HIS SUCCESSOR & WHAT SORT OF GOVT ‘NEW MALAYSIA’ WILL BE STUCK WITH AGAIN

NAJIB Razak wonders why he is more popular now than when he was in office, but welcomes it all the same.

He said the support he enjoys these days beats by far the backing he got when he was prime minister.

“I’m proud to get such extraordinary support. It was not like this when I was prime minister. Even I am confused,” he told a crowd of 200 at a ceramah in Semenyih last night.

“I should have gotten more support when I was prime minister, but the opposite has happened.”  

Najib said Malaysians now are a braver lot who are not afraid to criticise the Pakatan Harapan administration when it “attacks” him.

He said the things he points out to the government are facts, adding that he is not one to spread lies given that he has been a victim of slander.

“I do not slander anyone because I’ve been a victim of it. I don’t want anyone else to become a victim.  

“I provide the people with facts and let them judge.”

The crowd shouted “bossku” – “my boss” – several times during Najib’s speech, a nickname given to the former prime minister by his supporters.

He said “bossku” is derived from Sabahan slang, and means “friend”.

“When I say ‘bossku’, it is to remind myself that the people are the boss.

“Barisan Nasional leaders must realise that the people are the real boss. So, don’t be arrogant, don’t be egoistic.

“We must understand that they are the ones who determine our future.”

The slogan “malu apa, bossku?” does not mean that one lacks a sense of shame, he said.

“We are grateful with what we have. That’s why when the slogan ‘malu apa, bossku?’ is used, it doesn’t refer to feelings of shame. Instead, it means we are grateful with what we have,” he said, adding that PH leaders are not happy with the “bossku” moniker as they cannot match his popularity.
