MACC files police report on Raja Petra's Penang tunnel claims
MACC has lodged a police report over the claims by controversial blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin regarding the Penang undersea tunnel project.
According to Utusan Online, MACC chief Mohd Shukri Abdull said one of his officers filed the report on Thursday.
However, there was no mention if the documents revealed by Raja Petra were authentic or otherwise.
Contacted by Malaysiakini today, Shukri said that he would let the police investigate the matter.
Raja Petra claimed the documents he exposed were MACC investigation papers on the project.
He claimed the documents alleged that several DAP leaders, including Lim Guan Eng, received kickbacks from the contractor.
The contractor allegedly revealed this information when he was arrested.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad called Raja Petra a liar when responding to the matter.
"Raja Petra is a liar. He's been telling lies all the time, and you still believe it," he added. - Mkini
