PETALING JAYA: Former national footballer Datuk Santokh Singh will be among thousands of Malaysians returning to stand for unity and a better country at the #AnakAnakMalaysia walk on Aug 31.
Having been part of the walk since it started five years ago, Santokh firmly believes the event is a meaningful and wonderful occasion for every Malaysian.
“It’s a fantastic event where you get everyone walking together for a better tomorrow,” he said.
“It is remarkable to see people of all races and ages walking for unity every year.”
Santokh added that he felt a lot of pride and joy to take part in the event.
He further complimented Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld Malaysia) and the Star Media Group Bhd for putting this walk together and making it happen year after year.
Santokh also gave a thumbs up to this year’s slogan #BetterMeBetterMalaysia.
He said he hoped that more Malaysians would come together and join the evening walk to celebrate Merdeka and Malaysia Day.
#AnakAnakMalaysia Walk is a collaboration between Malaysia’s well-known property developer Eco World Development Group Bhd and Star Media Group.
The main sponsors for the event are Panasonic (Silver Sponsor) and DRB-HICOM (Car Sponsor).
The registration fee will be RM50 (adult) / RM20 (child) / RM120 (family package 2 adults, 2 children) / RM40 (corporate).
Closing date for registration is Aug 9.
The #AnakAnakMalaysia Walk will be held on Aug 31 at 4.30pm at the Eco Ardence Sales Gallery, Persiaran Setia Alam, Setia Alam, Shah Alam.
