Kota Kinabalu to close shops at 5pm, petrol stations 2pm
Kota Kinabalu City Hall has ordered all supermarkets, grocers, convenience stores, restaurants, and bakeries to close at 5pm throughout the movement control order period.
The shops are allowed to open at 7am while restaurants can open at 6am.
Meanwhile, public markets and petrol stations will only be allowed to operate from 6am to 2pm.
City Hall said this was in accordance with the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act.
Action will be taken against individuals who fail to comply.
Meanwhile, the Sabah state government is also requiring that all individuals who arrive from abroad will need to be quarantined at the nearest centres for 14 days.
“In addition, the inter-district public jetties will be closed to the public," state secretary Safar Untong was quoted as saying by Bernama.
“The state government has decided that inter-district public jetties in Kudat, Sipitang, Kota Kinabalu, Lahad Datu, Sandakan and Tawau will be closed from March 22 to 31, except for emergency cases,” he added.
The state government has also ordered all districts to impose roadblocks with immediate effect. - Mkini
