NYPD Investigating Disturbing Mass Shooting Threat in Chinatown on Instagram

An Instagram page, @antiasiansclubnyc, threatened to take guns to shoot all Asians on sight in New York City’s Chinatown.

CeFaan Kim, an ABC7 Eyewitness News reporter, shared the report on Twitter, with a note from the New York Police Department and New York Police Department Deputy Commissioner, Public Information acknowledging the situation.

The page had three followers and 39 followings, and a bio reading, “Welcome to NYC Anti-Asian Club! Follow us to destroy all Ching Chongs in New York! If I follows you that means that you already in our death list.”

The now-deleted Instagram page had two posts. The first stating that “the only we can destroy the epidemic of coronavirus in NYC” is by gunning down the Asians in Chinatown.

The second post can be seen saying “Please do not take this negatively! we are trying to help our planet!” and a caption reading, “Love will save the planet!”

NextShark has reached out to the NYPD for an official statement, with Sergeant Jessica McRorie from the DCPI also saying, “We are aware and investigating.”
