Schools in 7 Kelantan districts under MCO closed for 5 days
All schools across seven districts that are under the movement control order (MCO) in Kelantan have been closed from today until Apr 22.
This was confirmed by the state executive councillor for housing, local government, and health Izani Husin (above) yesterday.
A letter about the temporary closure went viral yesterday. It was sent by the state education department to all education officers at the district level.
Tanah Merah district education officer Nik Muhamad Nik Lib also shared information about the closure on Facebook.
So far, the state education department has yet to release an official media statement.
The instruction to close schools came amid a spike of Covid-19 cases in Kelantan.
The MCO restrictions on seven out of 10 districts in Kelantan began on April 16 and will last until April 29. - Mkini
