I HAVE A SUGGESTION FOR MUJAHID : LETS MAKE FUN OF ALL RELIGIONS, FAIR AND SQUARE. LETS GROW UP.
Dont get me wrong - I think the following is a fantastic statement by Mujahid Yusof Rawa. I fully support what Yusuf Rawa said. Here is the news :
minister in charge of Islamic affairs hit out at Zakir Naik
combative style putting down other beliefs not suitable for Malaysia
Mujahid Yusof Rawa said Naik sought refuge in Malaysia
amid investigation by Indian authorities
has penchant for insulting other religions
We don’t want debate that ridicules others
We need intellectual, composed method of Islamic propagation
without ridicule other religions he said
Naik accused of provocative speeches
reason for attack in Dhaka 2016 left 22 people dead
India investigating Naik’s Islamic Research Foundation money laundering
televangelist ..fighting attempts to have him deported
Mujahid said he was responsible for defending other religions
Islam in the past was successful because it did not attack other beliefs
“When has Islam been spread by insulting other religions?
If Islam is compassionate, there is no need for insults,” he added
My comments : Well said Mujahid Yusof Rawa.
We should not give a hoot about religion in the public sphere.
Your religion is your belief.
Keep it at home.
And at home please keep your religion inside your heart because with absolute 100% certainty religion cannot fit inside your brain.
Brain means logic, reasoning, proof, evidence, real world.
Religion means :
- buried man disappeared magically from grave,
- magic flying horses zipping through the night sky,
- great saviour will appear from the sky (no UAV or drone)
- animals talking to human beings,
- prophet causing earthquakes with each footstep,
- hybrid man-animal creatures,
and all sorts of other unscientific and non scientific stuff. Among other things. Brain cannot explain. Only "heart" can accept blindly.
But lets get back to Zakir Naik. Could Zakir Naik be a secret follower of the Hebrew Bible? Or maybe an Old Testament Bible follower? (Christian friends, I am not blaming Christianity. I am suggesting that maybe these folks are following the Old Testament and even the New Testament - without even realising it).
Among other things Zakir Naik wears a beard and a white skull cap. Who knows he may also wear robes.
The beard, white skull cap (or turbans), the robes etc are defninitely NOT FROM THE QURAN.
With absolute certainty they are NOT FROM THE QURAN.
BUT WITH ABSOLUTE CERTAINTY THE BEARD, THE WHITE SKULL CAP, THE ROBES AND EVEN THE KASTA PADERI'S WOODEN STAFF ARE FOUND IN THE BIBLE (OLD TESTAMENT).
Exodus 28 New International Version (NIV)
The Priestly Garments
"28 “Have Aaron your brother brought to you from among the Israelites, along with his sons Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, so they may serve me as priests. 2 Make sacred garments for your brother Aaron to give him dignity and honor. 3 Tell all the skilled workers to whom I have given wisdom in such matters that they are to make garments for Aaron, for his consecration, so he may serve me as priest.
4 These are the garments they are to make:
a breastpiece,
an ephod,
a robe,
a woven tunic,
a turban and
a sash.
They are to make these sacred garments for your brother Aaron and his sons, so they may serve me as priests. 5 Have them use gold, and blue, purple and scarlet yarn, and fine linen."
Beard : The Old Testament law forbade priests from shaving their beards (Leviticus 21:5). In the ancient Hebrew culture, men usually had long beards. In fact, it was considered a disgrace for an adult man not to have a beard (2 Samuel 10:4-5).
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments” (Psalm 133:1-2).
So the beard is certainly an old Jewish teaching. There is no such thing in the Quran.
Now look at this guy here. He is an Amish christian. They wear beards but shave off their moustaches.
Muslims might confuse this Amish guy for a Tablighi folllower. The Tablighis wear beards and also shave off their moustaches - just like the Amish. So who came first? The Bible or the Tablighis?
Robes : robes are part of the priests garments as per Exodus 28 above (the Old Testament). Again this is an old Jewish teaching. There is no such thing as wearing robes being a great thing in the Quran. Whether you wear or dont wear a robe so what?
White skull cap : The white skull cap is a jewish invention. In Hebrew they call it the kippah. Sounds close to kepiyah (Kedah) or kopiyah.
Here is some copy paste : "Jewish law dictates that a man is required to cover his head during prayer, and it is strongly suggested that a Jew is required to cover his head at all times.
Rabbis wear a kippah which is the Hebrew word for skullcap. The reason why rabbis and many observant Jews wear them is because the religious book, the Talmud, orders them to: "Cover your head in order that the fear of heaven may be upon you." So basically, it's a way of showing respect for God."
In other words wearing white skull caps for prayer or at all times is a Jewish teaching. There is no such thing in the Quran.
So what does the Quran say about how you dress or what you wear ? Here is the Quran :
This is Surah 7:126 which among others says "wa libaasu at-taqwa zaa lika khayrun" which means "and the clothing of righteousness that is the best".
The best clothing anyone can wear is righteous behaviour.
So in the Quran there is absolutely NO SUCH THING as
- religious clothing
- special clothing to be worn by the kasta paderi (the priests)
- special clothing to be worn to the masjid
- special clothing to be worn for prayer etc.
- priests or "holy men" wearing beards
There are absolutely no such things.
But these "religious clothing" can be found in the Jewish teachings, as we have seen above.
Why is it that so many things that people like Zakir Naik practise and believe in are NOT FOUND in the Quran but they are found in the Jewish teachings and in the Bible?
One or two similarities ok lah. But tens if not hundreds of similar teachings that are NOT FOUND IN THE QURAN. But they are found in the Jewish teachings and in the Bible.
The Quran says :
"Oh you who have believed if you obey a party of those who were given the book, they would turn you back, after your belief into unbelievers (kafiroon)." Surah 3:100.
So if Zakir Naik follows the people who were given the scripture instead of following the Quran, then does he not become one of them.
NOW HERE IS THE SOALAN CEPU EMAS FOR ZAKIR NAIK : If there are so many similarities between Zakir Naik and the Jews (which are unQuranic Or nonQuranic) then why spend so much time highlighting differences between the Jews, Christians and himself?
If you follow their teachings (WHICH ARE NOT IN THE QURAN) then you are also one of them bhai.
