Herschel backpacks a hit at Bersatu AGM

BERSATU AGM | Ahead of its main body annual general assembly tomorrow, Bersatu delegates gathered at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre today sported brand new backpacks from Canadian manufacturer Herschel.

The trendy bags with the Herschel logo on the front came in various colours, including black, grey, blue and red. Each bag of a different colour had a slightly different design and shape.

A Bersatu logo, along with the words "Perhimpunan Agung Tahunan Kali Yang Kedua Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia" (Second Bersatu Annual General Assembly) is also stitched to its lower pocket.

Depending on size, these bags typically retail from RM250 to over RM300.

When met by Malaysiakini, many of the delegates said they were unaware of the value of the bags, but commented that they appeared to be of good quality.

A delegate from Johor Bahru, Aidil Ahmad, said he received his bag this morning at the registration counter.

"I arrived for the opening launch last night.

"Many of us were given this bag today with the things we need for the main debate session tomorrow," he told Malaysiakini when met after the opening speeches by Srikandi Bersatu chief Rina Harun and Youth chief Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.

Upon registering themselves at the counter, eight delegates from Bersatu divisions nationwide were each given the backpack filled with the party's constitution, a party notebook and a book titled Malaysia Baru.

They comprise office-bearers at the divisional level, from chiefs to committee members. - Mkini
