Johor Sultan pledges RM1mil to aid Pasir Gudang chemical crisis
JOHOR BARU: Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar has pledged RM1mil in aid to help the authorities in their efforts in handling the chemical pollution crisis in Pasir Gudang.

“Tuanku Sultan was especially affected by an audio recording of a crying man pleading for help for his child.
“The contribution is for the Fire and Rescue Department, police and other governmen agencies to purchase whatever is necessary to help victims,” said Her Majesty in a statement posted on Sultan Ibrahim official Facebook page here on Thursday (March 14).

All schools in Pasir Gudang have been ordered to close down due to the poor air quality, which has forced hundreds of students, as well as adults, to be hospitalised.
