MUHYIDDIN RETALIATES AGAINST ZAHID – EVEN AS UMNO RENOUNCES HIS PN COALITION: BUT WILL COPS REALLY DARE JAIL UMNO CHIEF’S DAUGHTER – AS THEY HAVE DONE TO THOUSANDS OF ORDINARY CITIZENS CAUGHT FLOUTING MCO

Police say they have recorded the statement of Nurulhidayah, the daughter of Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, over her alleged violation of the movement control order and will submit the investigation papers to the Attorney-General’s Chambers once the probe is concluded.
Police added that there should not be a perception that cops have failed to take action.
“The public is advised not to cause anxiety and the negative perception that the police supposedly did not take action.
“The police reiterate that no one will escape action if they have broken the law,” Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Huzir Mohamed said in a statement.
This is after Nurulhidyah (above) posted on Instagram that she had met with deputy environment and water minister Ahmad Masrizal Muhammad to “exchange views” during the partial lockdown.
Malaysia has been under a partial lockdown since March 18 to curb the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
Under the MCO, all non-essential businesses and services must close and people may only leave home for approved reasons.
The MCO is expected to end on May 12, after three extensions.
As of noon, Malaysia recorded 5,742 Covid-19 cases with 98 deaths.
However, 3,762 people have recovered while another 1,882 are in treatment.
Globally, the virus has infected 2.84 million people and claimed 197,846 lives. MKINI

CID director Huzir Mohamed said the couple are being investigated for possible spread of infection or any disease dangerous to life and for violating the MCO.
“An investigation paper has been opened against Nurulhidayah Ahmad Zahid and her husband following an Instagram post uploaded by the latter, after her meeting with several ministers.
“They had their statements recorded yesterday. The police wanted to make it clear that no one is above the law,” said Huzir.
Nurulhidayah shared a picture on her Instagram taken in Putrajaya after a meeting with Deputy Environment and Water Minister Ahmad Masrizal Muhammad.
The picture showed Nurulhidayah together with her husband and Masrizal. They were standing apart in the photograph.
The MCO was enforced on March 18 to stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus which has so far infected 5,742 people and killed 98. The MCO has entered its fourth phase, which ends on May 12.
