Mamadias: Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, (by removing Bakke Mohd Salleh as Malaysian Palm Oil Board [MPOB] chairperson), you are losing your moral compass. Period.
Once, you spoke out against 1MDB and was even sacked by then prime minister Najib Abdul Razak. Now you are sacking those who spoke out against 1MDB.
Bakke is one of the very few Malay professionals who have strong ethics.

Top officials who stood up against 1MDB are being gradually, but surely, replaced by those who abetted the 1MDB kleptocracy.

RengitBP: This is common practice everywhere around the world. Professionals appointed by governments of the day will be changed when there are changes in the respective governments.
When Pakatan Harapan became the government, professionals in many positions were also moved out. If there is a change in the US president later this year, about 1,200 positions will also be changed.
Many of the professionals who are holding key positions in government-linked companies (GLCs) or government-linked investment companies (GLICs) know that there are no certainties to their positions.
Many of them are non-political in their outlook, but this comes with the territory. As long as the government owns shares in companies, it is within the government’s prerogative to make that call as a shareholder.
Pakcik Kiah: First, it was the removal of the educated and ethical people in the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF). Backdoor Human Resources Minister M Saravanan puts an owner of a private school, Nelson Renganathan, who is his friend, in charge as the HRDF chairperson.
Now they remove good people who stood by their principles and fought the corrupt BN regime. So what’s the big hoo-hah from PN about not appointing corrupt politicians?
You are now removing good people and replacing them with your cronies, who are actually frontliners for corrupt leaders facing trials.
The talk about a clean government is all a bunch of lies. Malaysiakini, please continue exposing all these appointments.
Constitutional Supremacy: The BN and kleptocrats days are back.
Unashamedly, they are taking out officers who had spoken out and exposed 1MDB and replaced them with persons who were involved in the wrongdoings and made possible the scandal.
Those appointed are all Najib's men.
Now, where are the people and NGOs who were attacking Harapan relentlessly, who wanted overnight reforms and at the same time, for the government to consult with the public?

1. Politicians who do not subscribe to a manifesto and use any excuse to change course and not fulfil their promises.
2. The (now) opposition Harapan politicians who were crazy about being ministers.
3. MCA and MIC willing to be in bad company and could not care a bit about corruption/kleptocracy or sound governance.

Feudalism is still part of the culture. No Malay leader has the vision to change Malay thinking from entitlement-based to merit-based.
Although Malaysia is a Muslim-majority nation, corruption permeates the nation from the very top to the grassroots and the politicians are shameless hypocrites.

They may be complicit but they are not the real players. They only listen to the boss. The boss now is Muhyiddin and not Najib. This is how politics works.

If the government has already chosen to forget the mess that patronage makes of our public and commercial institutions, then there is no hope for rebuilding the country.
RR: The PN government, in sacking corruption-free top professionals from GLCs/GLICs, is engaging in a political gameplay which ignores the future well-being of the rakyat and the nation.
We pray and hope that good sense will prevail in making the right decisions for the sake of the country’s future.
Fear of God and his wrath in the form of the coronavirus should bring realisation to those decision-makers in the PN government.
