Pasir Salak MP tests positive for Covid-19

 

Pasir Salak MP Tajuddin Abdul Rahman has tested positive for Covid-19.

According to the administrator of his Facebook page, Tajuddin took a swab test yesterday and was confirmed as positive today.

The administrator in a posting this morning urged all close contacts to undergo testing and apologised for any inconvenience caused.

"Tajuddin apologises over any inconvenience and thanks all those who pray for him," the posting says.

Tajuddin had sat beside Padang Rengas MP Nazri Abdul Aziz during a press conference on Jan 12.

Four days later, former Bandar Tun Razak Umno secretary Zaharin Mohd Yasin, who was also present in the crowd, confirmed that he has tested positive for Covid-19.

Nazri confirmed yesterday that he too had been infected by the virus.

It is not clear if Tajuddin - who is also Prasarana chairperson - had any events between Jan 12 and today.

The last event that was posted on his Facebook was on Jan 10. It was an event in Pasir Salak to give aid to schoolchildren.

Tajuddin wore a mask during the event, except when he was speaking from the podium. - Mkini
