Make sure 90% of staff turn up for work, says Sabah minister
KOTA KINABALU: All department heads in the public services must ensure that the presence of their officers and staff reaches 90% during working hours in the office while the recovery movement control order is in force, state minister Masidi Manjun said.
He said only 10% of the state’s civil servants were allowed to work from home with the approval of the department heads.
“The state government once again reminds all civil servants to fully comply with the current regulations and standard operating procedures issued by the federal health ministry or the local authorities,” he said in a statement last night.
Masidi, who is also the state government’s spokesman on Covid-19, said 12,049 people in Sabah had received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine, with 2,520 of them receiving it today.
He said the number of new Covid-19 cases had dropped to 71 from 99 on Sunday. The cumulative number of cases in the state stands at 53,557, with two deaths reported in Kota Kinabalu and Keningau respectively. - FMT
