Sabah lets businesses open to 9pm, restaurants until 10pm
KOTA KINABALU: Businesses in Sabah will be allowed to operate until 9pm starting on Tuesday, says state local government and housing minister Masidi Manjun.
This includes hawker stalls, shopping malls, laundrettes, hair salons, spas, wellness and reflexology centres, and car wash centres.
However, restaurants will be allowed to operate until 10pm.
“All businesses and premises are required to comply with SOPs, including the self-service laundrettes. The employees must control the numbers of customers in the premises.
“Apart from that, the number of visitors in shopping malls, hypermarkets, supermarkets, mini markets and others is also limited to 50% of the space capacity of the premises or 200 sq ft for one customer,” he told FMT.
Masidi, who is also the Covid-19 spokesman for the state, said a total of 136 new cases and two deaths were recorded today.
“There is also a new cluster recorded, namely the Jalan Mangga cluster in Kota Kinabalu which was detected on May 18.” - FMT
