Tajuddin fined RM1,500 for SOP violation during post-LRT crash press conference
Former Prasarana chairperson Tajuddin Abdul Rahman has been handed a fine of RM1,500 for violating movement control order standard operating procedures (SOPs) during a press conference that was held a day after last month's LRT crash.
Dang Wang police chief Mohamad Zainal Haji Abdullah said Tajuddin was fined RM1,500 under Regulation 17 (1) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures Within Infected Local Areas) Regulations 2021.
"This was for failing to wear a face mask during a media conference related to the LRT crash," Zainal said in a statement.
He said the fine will be issued to Tajuddin soon.
“Police advise the public to continue adhering to all SOPs that have been set by the National Security Council to combat Covid-19," Zainal added.
The Pasir Salak MP was dismissed from his government-linked company post soon after the press conference, as the public rallied against his handling of the matter. - Mkini
