Syabas Kepada YB Syed Sadiq Dan Muda

 I received the following video via WhatsApp from a friend last nite.

Coincidentally yesterday I received the following brief e-mail from a young man I know who is now in MUDA.

I think MUDA reads your blog. They are more susceptible to new open policies.

They know that the existing Bumi policies only enriched the Bumi parasites and their multi racial cronies at the expense of hardworking and innovative Malaysians.

Komen tentang dasar Ekuiti Bumiputera RMK 12 berkaitan penjualan saham dan ekuiti bumiptera kepada syarikat Bumiputera sahaja.

Kita perlukan dasar Bumiputera yang Winnable bukan yang WinCable.

Well if MUDA reads my Blog, thank you very much.

I have a quick tongue - that which I see as good I support, no matter who says it. If something is out of whack or silly then I whack it. 

Listening to Syed Sadiq in the video above, there is much hope for the country if more young Malays can understand what Syed Sadiq is saying here.

The gist is this : You cannot run away from the laws of economics. 

To the PM Ismail Sabri, who really does not know anything about economics or business, please ask the Economic Planning Unit in the Jabatan Perdana Menteri,  ask the Penjawat Awam at the MoF, ask the academics at the Fakulti Ekonomi at the IPTAs to show you which economics textbook on which planet teaches you this idea of "penjualan saham dan ekuiti bumiptera kepada syarikat Bumiputera sahaja" ?

Sebab idea-idea macam ini tidak ada dalam buku-buku ekonomi.  These are wild horse ideas atau pun Idea-idea kuda liar that have nothing to do with business and economics. 

These are political positions. Not economic ideas. These are obviously super racist ideas as well. 

Cara untuk membangunkan ekonomi Melayu dan bumiputera adalah menerusi kaedah ekonomi sepertimana tercatit dalam buku-buku ekonomi. Kalau tak faham boleh tanya orang. Boleh tanya saya. 

There are perfectly workable ideas on how to develop the bumiputera economy without breaking all the rules and laws of simple economic thinking. 

And here is a very big secret I want to share. Saya ingin kongsi satu rahsia besar dengan YAB PM. 

The Dasar Ekonomi Baru is not an economic policy. It is a racist policy. OK lah - kita lembutkan bahasa sedikit. The DEB is a raced based policy. 

But here is the rahsia besar - it does not work. 

Ismail Sabri kata after 50 years the bumiputera equity is still less than 17%.  Apa maksudnya? It means the DEB has failed. After 50 years !! Habis hang nak 'cuba try' another 50 years ke?

Dont forget the bumiputera equity includes PNB/ASB and the GLCs. Kalau tolak PNB/ASB, GLCs, the bumiputera equity could be less than 5%.  

GLC itu kira bumiputera ke? Tapi GLC guna duit 'taxpayers funds".  Taxpayer yang paling besar adalah bukan bumiputera. (Especially kalau tolak contribution from "duit minyak", yang akan tinggal mostly non-bumi taxpayers funds juga). 

Anyway Syabas again to Syed Sadiq. I hope more young Malays will think like you.

Stay on the right path. Dr Mahathir has gone astray. Just stay on the right path.  You will do fine.
