Rosmah arrives at MACC
PUTRAJAYA: Rosmah Mansor has arrived at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission headquarters here for what is believed to be further questioning on the RM1.25 billion solar hybrid project for rural schools in Sarawak.
She was seen arriving in a black car at 11.50am.
However, there was no sign of her former aide Rizal Mansor, who is expected to give his statement today as well.
Whistleblower site Sarawak Report previously alleged that the solar panel project was awarded to the company without an open tender. It also claimed Rosmah’s husband, former prime minister Najib Razak, had endorsed the project to install solar panels in 369 schools.
Rosmah currently faces 17 money laundering charges involving over RM7 million under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 and the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.
She claimed trial to all 17 charges on Oct 4. - FMT
