JOHOR BARU (Bernama): A Bangladeshi man has been arrested by the police for allegedly touching the buttocks of a woman outside a supermarket in Kulai.
Kulai district police chief Supt Tok Beng Yeow said the 27-year-old suspect was arrested by policemen on patrol at about 7.45pm on Tuesday (July 30).
He said members of the public had apprehended the suspect before handing him over to the police when they arrived.
"The complainant said she was passing by the supermarket close to the Taman Manis Kelapa Sawit night market, together with her child when she realised that a man was following her.
"The man then touched her buttocks, ” Tok said in a statement here on Thursday (Aug 1).
He said the suspect has been remanded for four days until Saturday (Aug 3) for investigation under Section 354 of the Penal Code. - Bernama
