Police announce transfers of senior officers



Perlis will have a new police chief with the appointment of Surina Saad to the post, effective Sept 10. Surina is currently the principal assistant director E5 in the Special Branch.
The transfers also involve several senior officers, said Bukit Aman corporate communications head Asmawati Ahmad in a statement today.
The other transfers involve Shafie Ismail, the head of the Management College Studies Centre, Kuala Lumpur PDRM College, who has been appointed the Johor deputy police chief.

Principal assistant director E6 in the Special Branch, Cheong Koon Kock, has been appointed Special Branch deputy director II.
Anuar Othman, the deputy head of the Perak Criminal Investigation Department, (Intelligence/Operations) has been appointed state CID chief.
Assistant director (D9) Special Investigations of CID Bukit Aman, Sapii Ahmad, will be head of the Kedah CID.
The transfer order also saw Bandar Baharu police chief Barudin Wariso appointed Perak Tengah police chief, while Head of Subang Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Ramsay Anak Embol has been appointed Kuala Pilah police chief.
Hulu Selangor deputy police chief Azman Ab Rahman will be the district police chief.
Other transfers involve Padawan deputy police chief, Merbin Ak Lisa, who will be police chief in Dalat.
All the transfer orders are effective from Sept 10.
