Siti Sarah's husband shares heartbreaking account of telling children of her passing
Actor Shuib Sepahtu has shared a heartbreaking account of how his three children broke out sobbing when told that their mother Siti Sarah would not return home again.
He said he took a long time before conveying the sad news to Uwais Alqarni, 10, Dzahira Talita Zahra, 8, Ariq Matin, 6.
“Back home (from the funeral), I went straight upstairs and showered. I showered for a very long time, taking time to figure out how to tell them.
“Suddenly, the father-in-law (Raissuddin Hamzah) called and told me that I needed to tell the children because they had already watched their mother’s story on YouTube.
“Oh God, this is the hardest trial, but I persevered and called the children to explain,” he said during a live session on Instagram yesterday afternoon.
“I told them, we usually pray for your mother to return home. But today that is not so, and she will not return. The children continue to cry, especially Matin, because he is most spoiled by his mother.”
Popular singer Siti Sarah breathed her last at the intensive care unit (ICU) of Tuanku Muhriz Chancellors Hospital (HCTM), Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), in Kuala Lumpur due to Covid-19 at 5.13am yesterday.
Apart from her husband and older three children, Siti Sarah also leaves Ayash Affan who was born on Aug 6, delivered prematurely due to her condition.
The body of the late Siti Sarah was safely buried at the Kampung Sungai Pusu Islamic Cemetery, Gombak, at about 1.20pm yesterday afternoon.
Shuib, whose real name is Shahmira Muhamad, 36, said despite the need to take time, their children finally began to understand.
“We will never see her again. My son cried and kept crying, I was torn,” he said.
Shuib said to his children, their mother also told them to be pious children.
“Mother told all her children to be pious and that she wants children who are good at studying and praying.”
At the same time, Shuib also shared the last moment he looked at his wife’s face in the hospital. He said, Siti Sarah’s face looked radiant.
“Her face is radiant and clean. Apart from that, I hope that God protects the hearts of my children so that they will always give alms like their mother and do good to all human beings,” he said. - Mkini
