If You Do These 6 Things, You’ll Never See Another Spider in Your Kitchen, Bathroom or Bedroom Again

Everyone hates spiders! In fact, many people are even scared of them, especially those who live in a house with big yard.  These pests are present everywhere and everyone tries to get rid of them in one way or another. Even though there are many products available, most of them are full of chemicals are provide limited results. If You Do These 6 Things, You’ll Never See Another Spider in Your Kitchen, Bathroom or Bedroom Again

Luckily, the good news is that there are natural repellents available! They are toxin-free, all-natural and very effective at repelling spiders.

  1. Chestnuts

Chestnuts and other nuts like horse chestnuts and walnuts work as effective spider repellents.  Spiders cannot stand their scent and consequently, this strong scent makes them go away. All you have to do is to place a few chestnuts on the critters and windowsills to repel them in no time.

  1. Peppermint Essential Oil

Again, spiders hate the smell of peppermint! Combine 8 drops of this oil with some dish soap and water and spray the resulting mixture in every corner of the house. Feel free to add 8 drops of the oil more if the mixture is not minty enough. Another option is to mix peppermint essential oil with some vinegar.

  1. White Vinegar

As mentioned above, vinegar also works as natural spider repellent. Mix 1 part of vinegar with 2 parts of water in a bottle and spray the infested areas around the house.

  1. Citrus Fruits

The scent of citrus is hated by spiders, meaning that lemon essential oil works as effective spider repellent.  You can either place some citrus fruits around the house or put a few drops of the lemon essential oil.

  1. Cedar

Cedar is the common name for cedar wood which also works as spider repellent. You can either buy cedar hangers and place them in your closet or get some cedar blocks and put them in your closets, cupboards, or in the garden.

  1. Keep it Clean

Last but not least, keeping the house clean is probably the most effective way to keep spiders at bay. Vacuum and sweep the floors on a regular basis and de-clutter the rooms to save space. If you live in an apartment, keep the balcony and windows clean at all times.  Ultimately, keep the outside of your house clean as well by closing the gaps in the doors and keeping the lawn clean.
