‘I KNOW A LOT OF PARASITES IN PKR’: BREATHING FIRE, DRAGON QUEEN SYARUL EMA JOINS AZIZAH’S PARTY
Syarul Ema Rena Abu Samah, known on the social media as ‘Ratu Naga’, has officially joined PKR to make amends for her “past errors”.
The consultant made news in August when the authorities raided her home over postings on Prime Minister Najib Razak’s wife Rosmah Mansor.
“For me, whether I join PKR, DAP or other opposition parties is unimportant.
“I have made many mistakes towards PKR, so I want to make amends for my indiscretion,” she said at a press conference at PKR headquarters in Petaling Jaya today.
“At the same time, I also know there are a few parasites in the party that have cooperated with Umno,” she said.
Announcing her membership was PKR Wanita chief Zuraida Kamarudin.

Zuraida, who is Ampang MP, said Syarul Ema’s social media expertise will be valuable to the party’s publicity efforts.
“I hope she will play a role in empowering women and raising awareness of our policies, or the women’s movement and PKR Wanita’s struggles for the sake of the women of this country,” said Zuraida.
She also reminded the social media personality to be mindful of party regulations, not to denigrate others, and to always uphold integrity.
Sabah Wanita defectors ‘not active’
On another matter, Zuraida said the 11 Sabah PKR Wanita branch chiefs who were among those who had left the party along with former Sabah PKR chief Lakim Ujin were not active members and had allegedly not performed well.
“PKR Wanita Sabah is still strong. Those who left didn’t have a function, they weren’t active and did not undertake their duties,” she said.
“For example they did not hold meetings, did not attend state level meetings and did not carry out activities as instructed by the central Wanita wing,” she said.
Zuraida said she has met with other Sabah Wanita branch leaders who are still active to conduct a restructuring.
Earlier this month Lajim left PKR along with two other Harapan assemblypersons, PKR’s Moyog assemblyperson Terrence Siambun and DAP’s Likas assemblypersons Junz Wong.
Siambun and Wong have joined former PKR Penampang MP Darrel Leiking in former Umno minister Shafie Apdal’s new Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan).
Other key Sabah Harapan leaders who have quit include former Sabah PKR secretary Maijol Mahap, Sabah PKR Wanita chief Johair Matlani and Sabah DAP deputy chief Joan Goh Penn Nee.
Their departure is said to be motivated by a desire to have a Sabah-based opposition front.
