The world begged for more Melodrama and Lorde delivered ... but sadly, it was in the form of an offensive comment reportedly made about fellow girl squad member Taylor Swift.

In a feature published on Saturday, Lorde told The Guardian it's difficult to have friends that are as famous as Taylor Swift, explaining "There are certain places you can’t go together. Certain things you can’t do ... It's like having a friend with an autoimmune disease."

The comments sparked some serious backlash online, with people calling the 20-year-old singer's comment insensitive. But now, Lorde has come out and apologized for the analogy. Read more...
