UK tech retailer CeX loses details of 2M customers after security breach
Another day, another massive data breach. This time it’s the turn of CeX, which says two million customers may have had their personal information stolen by hackers. This information includes names, addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers. The data dump also contains passwords. These are apparently hashed, although it points out that weak passwords can be cracked. As The Register pointed out, if you’ve reused your CeX password elsewhere, it’s a good idea to change it.
