KOTA KINABALU: Former Sabah chief minister Tan Sri Musa Aman was sworn in as Sungai Sibuga assemblyman at 3.30pm here on Wednesday (Sept 5).
Musa took his oath of office before at the office of Speaker Datuk Seri Syed Abas Syed Ali in the Sabah state legislative assembly building.
Musa arrived at the airport here on a private jet at 12.30pm and headed straight to the state assembly building.
Walking with the help of a walking stick, Musa who was sporting a beard, looked a little frail and was guided by aides.
After the swearing in, Musa thanked the Speaker for his understanding and allowing his to be sworn in.
"I am here to carry out my duties as an assemblyman," he said, adding that he was never a fugitive and would continue to serve the people and the state.
"I am a native of Sabah and have always served the people and my beloved state," he said.
Accompanying Musa were Sabah Umno chairman Datuk Hajiji Noor and other politicians like Datuk Masidi Manjun and Datuk Johnny Mositun.- Star
