Musa Aman leaves MACC for KL Sessions Court

PUTRAJAYA: Former Sabah chief minister Tan Sri Musa Aman has left the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters here and is being taken to the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court to be charged.

The 67-year old Sungai Sibuga assemblyman left the MACC building at 1pm in a black SUV in a convoy of four vehicles.

Musa, who was summoned by the MACC at 8.30am Monday (Nov 5), was arrested upon arriving at the headquarters at 10.05am.

He is expected to face up to 35 charges of corruption under the Anti-Corruption Act 1997 when he appears in court at 2pm.

He is expected to be charged in connection with several cases involving timber concessions in Sabah.

Sources at the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission said that the amount involved is around US$63mil (approximately RM243mil).-Star
