Doctor, 34, found dead in hotel room in PD

PORT DICKSON: A 34-year-old doctor was found dead in his room at a hotel in Port Dickson near here on Tuesday (March 19).

Port Dickson OCPD Supt Aidi Sham Mohamed said a police team was dispatched to the hotel around 2pm, after an employee called in to report about an unconscious man in the room.

"The doctor, who was from Seremban, was already dead when my team arrived.

"A post-mortem performed on the man this morning (March 20) showed that a liquid, believed to be sodium chloride, was injected into his body through his left arm," he said in a statement.
Supt Aidi said the police probe showed there were no injuries on the man's body.

"We have classified the case as sudden death, but investigations are ongoing," he said, adding that doctors at the Port Dickson Hospital were also unable to establish the cause of death.- Star
