Mat Hasan: No need to declare my 'shrinking' assets for by-election

RANTAU POLLS | Umno acting president Mohamad Hasan feels there is no need for him to declare his assets just for the Rantau by-election.

He said he had declared his assets with the MACC when he was the menteri besar, as part of the Negeri Sembilan government's policy of making declarations.

"Plus, my assets are shrinking by the day, not increasing.

"I have had to sell a house, a car, to reduce my commitment because I no longer have an income, besides my pension and allowances as an assemblyperson," Mohamad said at a press conference in Rantau today. 

PKR secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution last night questioned how much assets Mohamad had, in a bid to compare the latter with the current Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun, who has declared his assets.

Mohamad said a copy of his asset declaration can be obtained from the MACC or the Negeri Sembilan state secretariat.
