One Year On, What Happened To The Seized Valuables From The Pavilion Raid?

Next week it is going to be exactly one year since the raid on the Pavilion Residences, although based on the Hijrah calendar it is already one year. And they are supposed to charge Najib within six months or else the RM1 billion worth of valuables need to be returned to him. But how to return what is not there? There is no RM1 billion worth of valuables sitting in Bank Negara Malaysia. And that is the problem here.

First they said it was not a raid. Then they said it was a raid. After that they said the value of what was seized or confiscated in the Pavilion Residences raid was about RM1 billion. Finally they say some of the valuables seized in the Pavilion Residences raid have gone missing or maybe they were never seized in the first place.
The fact that the owners of the apartment (or the owners of the seized valuables — said to be about RM1 billion), were not present during the raid and the list of valuables seized/confiscated were not listed (and the list was not endorsed by the owners) makes it possible for the valuables to go missing. After all, how do they prove what was seized and what has gone missing?
To sensationalise the whole thing, and to shock Malaysians, they mentioned a highly exorbitant figure of RM1 billion. That figure would shock and upset Malaysians and help prove what big crooks the ex-Prime Minister and his First Lady are.
But now comes the problem. They need to show that RM1 billion worth of valuables. But it never was RM1 billion so how can they show what never was? If this case goes to  court, they have to bring those RM1 billion worth of valuables to court as evidence (like they did with the mattress during Anwar Ibrahim’s sodomy trial in 1998-1999).
And that is why after one year they cannot charge Najib Tun Razak or Rosmah Mansor for the so-called RM1 billon worth  of valuables the police seized from the Pavilion Residences. That police officer with the turban made a huge mistake. That is why he was retired off. They could have extended his service on a two-year contract like they have done with the IGP but the less the public sees of this turbaned man the better.
