POSER FOR ‘ONE DAY TO BECOME PM’ MUKHRIZ – IF HE CAN’T ANSWER WELL, TIME FOR PAKATAN TO CUT TIES WITH ‘KEDAH MB’ WHO HANGS ONTO POST PURELY WITH THEIR SUPPORT: WHY DIDN’T YOUR ‘SEASONED’ FATHER STOP THE COUP – AND IS NOW INSINUATING RACIAL REASONS AGAINST ANWAR & DAP, PERHAPS TO RALLY BACK MALAY SUPPORT FOR HIMSELF

‘Mukhriz, why didn’t your seasoned father stop this coup?’
Anonymous_1583374005178.90011583373451643: It’s obvious that Muhyiddin Yassin has given up hope on Dr Mahathir Mohamad to lead Pakatan Harapan as the country’s prime minister.
After 20 months in power, what Mahathir has offered are nothing more than just big words and empty slogans which have led to no positive outcome or improvement in the livelihood of Malaysians.
At 94 years old, Mahathir should have been more sensible and gracious to quickly step aside to allow the younger generation to lead, instead of playing politics to keep control and power to himself.
Perhaps Mahathir is being too self-absorbed by his own grandiosity that he thinks only he is capable to lead the country, or perhaps too afraid that his successor will do a better job than him.
So Mukhriz Mahathir, please don’t follow your father’s footstep to blame Muhyiddin. Sometimes one should learn to take responsibility for one’s shortcoming.
If you don’t know how to lose, you won’t know how to win. At the end of the day, there will always be questions about whether Mahathir is holding on as PM to serve the country or to make plans for you to rise to the top.
Anonymous 5237890145285379: It does not matter if Muhyiddin changed his allegiance as the same can be said of your father.
I am glad the Harapan coalition is dead as it has been painful to see your father dancing to his own tune while the rest of the Harapan partners tried their best to accommodate him.
If what PSM leader Dr Jeyakumar Devaraj wrote about “The meltdown of Pakatan Harapan” is true, it is good that Harapan is over as it can never succeed.
Your father has his own objective, which is to rid Umno of some key people and then to take over Umno again. He was never interested in Harapan despite so many people thinking that he would run the country properly after being given a second chance.
I’m glad that he failed. His legacy is now in tatters. He made the promise to hand over power to PKR leader Anwar Ibrahim in front of the whole world which, apparently, he never wanted to honour.
The Perikatan Nasional government is known as a ‘pintu belakang’ (backdoor) government and not having won power through an election.
Only PKR, Amanah and DAP still have their reputation intact. Not all, but these are still better than the other parties. So the remnants of Harapan will live to fight another day. They can still hold their head high.
Malaysia will never progress as fast as it potentially could as many of its leaders are just opportunists. Many do not hesitate to change allegiance like they change their shirts.
Many do not even want the races to unite. Even worse, they openly use race and religion to divide and rule.
JD Lovrenciear: Mukhriz, why didn’t your father not stop this coup? He had all the institutions and instruments of power at his disposal. He could have if only he was not a party to the plot, yes? No?
Susahkes: Yes, your dad could have nipped it in the bud by sacking coup plotter Azmin Ali. Or by removing him from the cabinet. That would have put the fear of God into the likes of Muhyiddin.
But no, Mahathir had to carry out his plan of refusing Anwar the PM post. Funny thing is, your dad was asking US President Donald Trump to resign. But guess who got shown the door first?
Just A Malaysian: Mukhriz, you are talking nonsense. It sounds like it is okay for you and your father to betray your Harapan allies and betray the voters who supported you and your father.
But now you are looking with big bright eyes why Muhyiddin acted the way he did. You and your father are part of the Malay elite that play gutter politics and should be removed from politics if the race is to progress.
I still wonder why are the Malays so hung up on this dirty politician who has demonstrated treachery and so against what the religion has taught. Mukhriz, stop acting noble. You are just like your old man.
SuperPakCik: Muhyiddin has not gone against the law in forming the new government. It’s perfectly legitimate. Whatever problem has arisen it’s for you and your father to settle with Muhyiddin.
If you cannot settle, then quit Bersatu (quitting parties is nothing new for both of you). Muhyiddin has got the majority support in Bersatu.
Anonymous_1576502734824.97831576502591179: Mukhriz, you have to come out of your father’s shadow and lead. He has done a lot of damage to Harapan and his coming back – for the second time – will not be forgiven. Let him retire and enjoy his twilight years.
Sort out the problem within Bersatu by telling off your current acting chairperson and getting rid of Azmin and his gang of traitors. Your faithful supporters will be with you. Clean up your party and rejoin Harapan.
Slumdog: There have been so much intrigue, lies, back-stabbing, deceit and double-crossing that it is difficult to believe anyone about what took place in the last few weeks.
However, there is no doubt that self-serving, self-interest and self-preservation played a key part in the coup against Harapan. By stealth, we now have an Umno and PAS government. Welcome to the bad old days.
Anonymous_1547457305: This is called betrayal. Exactly like how the old man betrayed Harapan. Serve you right.
Zoe: Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor (Ku Nan) – almost a billionaire. The late Jamaluddin Jarjis – net worth RM2 billion. That’s only two of them. How many more billionaires are there?
To my Malaysian brother and sisters, please see how these politicians are using race and religion to control the political landscape (and our minds) so each of them can become billionaires, whilst a large section of us is living below the poverty line, many of whom are barely making it.
A lot of us are juggling more than one job to make ends meet and the rest of us going about our day-to-day job trying to save money for education, health, etc.
We contribute more to this economy with our taxes and hard work than these politicians, and we deserve better than this. - Mkini
