1m members but only 25k copies sold, PAS urges members to buy Harakah
MUKTAMAR | PAS leaders have again taken the opportunity at its annual assembly to appeal to members to support their party organ Harakah.
PAS information chief Kamaruzaman Mohamad said every edition of its printed version of Harakah sees 25,000 copies sold, even though the party has around one million members and he hoped that the sales numbers can be doubled.
"We have one million members, there are still many places that have not subscribed to the print version of Harakah.
"Perhaps some feel that Harakah may not be suitable to reach out to voters, but our recent study in Kedah showed that the print media is still a relevant medium to reach traditional medium.
"So, I appeal that in two months after this muktamar, the printed version of Harakah will see 50,000 copies being sold for every edition," Kamaruzaman told PAS delegates at the conclusion of the 66th PAS muktamar in Pengkalan Chepa, Kelantan last night.
Last year, Harakah ran into financial trouble as it failed to settle RM3 million owed to its former printer.
Kamaruzaman urged party members to make reading Harakah a habit.
He said they should read the party newspaper every morning, after fulfilling their religious obligations as a Muslim. - Mkini
