Muhyiddin tells Johor Bersatu maverick to 'take it slow'

Kempas lawmaker and former Johor Bersatu chief Osman Sapian said he was advised by his party president Muhyiddin Yassin to "take it slow".

According to Bernama, Osman revealed this today when met at Iskandar Puteri, Johor.

Osman has been under intense scrutiny of late after his appearance at Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) ceramah stages during the Slim by-election campaign. 

According to Osman, he had a chat with the prime minister during the Johor legislative assembly sitting. Muhyiddin is the Gambir lawmaker and seats next to Osman.

"He (Muhyiddin) said 'take it slow, no need to speak much'," was Osman’s brief reply to reporters when met after the state assembly sitting in Kota Iskandar.

Osman, who is Bersatu Ayer Hitam division chief, is currently under investigation by the party's disciplinary committee. 

Should Bersatu decide to sack Osman, it might tilt the balance of power in the Johor legislative assembly and reduce Perikatan Nasional's seats to 28 - exactly half the total number of seats. - Mkini
