I won't betray voters - Warisan rep rubbishes quit rumours
Warisan’s Kunak assemblyperson Norazlinah Arif has said she will never betray the mandate given to her by the rakyat and her party, despite not having any notable positions.
This comes amid speculation that she will soon follow in the footsteps of Sindumin assemblyperson Yusof Yacob and quit Warisan to become an independent lawmaker who will support Sabah’s ruling coalition.
“I do not have a high position in Warisan. I was not a full minister in the Warisan government.
“But I will never betray the mandate of the rakyat and the party that was given to me.
“For those cheap portal writers chasing cheap publicity, find a different model,” Norazlinah (above) said in a posting on her Facebook today.

She had attached a link to a blog post that had claimed she would soon be quitting Warisan.
On Oct 8, Yusof had officially announced his departure from Warisan to become an independent lawmaker who will support Sabah’s ruling coalition.
He had said he chose to cooperate with the federal and state governments in order to fight Covid-19, ease the suffering of the people and be loyal to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the Yang di-Pertua Negeri.
Yusof was the second Warisan assemblyperson to quit after the Sept 26 state election last year.
In February, Sebatik assemblyperson Hassan A Gani Pg Amir also left Warisan to be an independent lawmaker.
