KLCI pares gains amid lack of fresh catalysts

KUALA LUMPUR (Aug 4): The FBM KLCI notched up neglible gains at the midday break today, amid a lack of fresh catalysts to propel the local market sentiment.

At 12.30pm, the FBM KLCI was up a mere 0.07 points to 1,771.97. The index had earlier risen to a high of 1,774.12.

Losers led gainers by 309 to 238, while 501 counters traded unchanged. Volume was 780.97 million shares, valued at RM595.20 million.
