Hong Kong Students Bring Animated Movies to Life With Incredible Chalk Art

Chalkboards are normally used to jot down notes from class, solve long complicated math problems, or write a list of homework given by the teacher.

But one school in Hong Kong lets its students use colored chalk to bring to life fantastic works of art.

In 2016, a group of imaginative students, collectively and aptly referred to as Illusdreamer, at Senegal High School began using chalk to draw masterpieces of exquisite quality.

From anime such as Hayao Miyazaki’s “Kiki’s Delivery Service” and the popular “Your Name”, to animated movies like “Minions” and “Alice in Wonderland,” some of these illustrations take the students hours to finish.
