AS MAHATHIR WIELDS THE AXE, NAJIB’S STRATEGIST TRIES TO PLAY UP ANTI-CHINESE SENTIMENTS AMONG CIVIL SERVANTS, LASHES OUT AT ‘DR M-DAP REGIME’: ‘MAY ALLAH SAVE THE OTHER CIVIL SERVANTS’

Lokman Adam, who is attached with the Umno information bureau, has lashed out at the new Pakatan Harapan government after his employment at the Finance Ministry was terminated.

Lokman was in 2016 appointed by the then prime minister Najib Abdul Razak as the Finance Ministry’s strategic communications director, a ministry which Najib also led at the time.

“Today, my service as communications director at the Finance Ministry was officially terminated by the Mahathir-DAP regime.

“I thank all Finance Ministry staff who had treated me well.

“May Allah save the other civil servants,” he said in postings on both Facebook and Instagram.

Najib led the BN to its first defeat in 61 years, winning only 79 seats in the 222-member Dewan Rakyat.

Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad today met with the chief secretary to the government Ali Hamsa and also the director-general of all the ministries to instruct them on the direction of the government.

Following this, treasurer-general Irwan Serigar Abdullah, who is also the 1MDB chairperson, was barred from carrying out his duties and transferred to the Public Service Department (PSD).

MACC chief Dzulkifli Ahmad also tendered his resignation. Mahathir had accused the MACC of failing to act in the 1MDB scandal.
