7 Signs Indicating That You Have Kidney Disease

The kidneys are one of the most important organs in human’s body. They are essential for filtering the blood and maintaining it stable, they prevent the buildup of excess fluids and waste products, they regulate the blood pressure, balance the electrolyte levels, promote the red blood cell production, as well as they keep the bones strong and healthy.if-your-kidney-is-in-danger-the-body-will-give-you-these-7-signs

The compromised kidney function has a negative effect on your overall health, and that is the reason why it is extremely important to identify the warning signs of kidney damage.

Kidney Damage

These are the most common symptoms that can indicate that your kidneys are damaged.

Upper Back Pain

If you are suffering from kidney damage, you are likely to experience some pain in your upper back. The kidney pain usually is one-sided ache in the upper back, and usually it’s accompanied by urinary changes and fever.

If you’re dealing with spasms and severe pain, you might be suffering from some kidney infection or kidney stones.

Swelling

If you notice an unexpected swelling it can be a symptom of kidney failure. If your kidneys are not working properly, they can’t remove the excess fluids from your body, and that can lead to swelling in your face, legs, hands, ankles, and feet.

Skin Rash

The kidney failure is very often characterized by the appearance of skin rash or severe itching. In case your kidneys are unable to remove the waste products from the blood, the waste accumulation could cause dryness and irritation on the skin.

If the occurrence of the skin rash is related to kidney damage, you are not going to be able to treat it with any ointments and creams.

Fatigue

If the kidneys are healthy, there is a proper production of erythropoietin, or EPO. That is a hormone responsible for encouraging the bone marrow to make more new red blood cells that carry oxygen.

However, the damaged kidneys fail to produce a necessary amount of EPO, which is resulting in a shortage of new supply of oxygen and red blood cells in the body.

If this happens, your brain and muscles will became easily fatigued, and your body will be more tired, cold, and less able to focus. The lack of oxygen-carrying red blood cells usually leads to anemia.

Shortness of Breath

When you are suffering from kidney damage, your body usually is starved of oxygen. The deficiency of oxygen carried by the red blood cells leads to shortness of breath and that is caused by the accumulation of fluids and waste products in the lungs.

Metallic Taste in Your Mouth

The loss of appetite or the change in your food preferences can happen as a result of a waste accumulation in the blood. This is one of the most common symptoms of the kidney damage.

Changes in Urination

The change in urination is one of the early warning signs of a kidney failure.

These changes are including an appearance of foamy urine, urine which is containing blood, increased frequency of urination with pale urine color, reduced frequency of urination with dark colored urine, urinating in the middle of the night, or difficulty while urinating.
