18 Medications You Take but Cause Hair Loss

Everywhere I go, I see these products for solving the hair loss problem. I hope all of them give the desired result.

This is a problem for me because I’m concerned about the problem that goes deeper and wider.

What Causes the Hair Loss?

There are just too many brands out there which make this situation even scarier.

No one wants to experience his hair falling. It’s the first sign that tells you that you are growing old.

But, it’s too early, and we are not ready to give up our hair.

As you already know for yourself, our hair is the trademark of our beauty.

Throughout the years we are using different methods to make it thicker, fluffier, shinier, better, longer, and more.

It’s time for the hair to take its part in the process and start losing its ground.

Many factors could provoke early hair loss. Some of them are heredity, medical conditions, hormonal changes, and medications.

Yes, the last one shocked me, as well. I know every drug out there has a side effect, but I haven’t heard anything about attacking your hair.

I can’t say I’m surprised, though. I’m talking about these side-effects my whole life, but people take medications like candy.

We firmly believe that these pills will make us better. It’s in our desire and weakness to try and spit out the illness overnight.

Who can blame you, though? The pharmaceuticals are really strong, and they implemented a way of life that’s too hard for us to leave.

The only thing we can do is point out the biggest damages here. Some medications cause hair loss more than the others.

I think I have the list here.

Here are 18 medications that cause hair loss:

  • Acne medications
  • Antibiotics
  • Antidepressants
  • Antifungal medications
  • Blood thinners (anticoagulants)
  • Chemotherapy medications
  • Cholesterol-lowering medications
  • Epilepsy medications (anticonvulsants)
  • High blood pressure medications (antihypertensives)
  • Hormone replacement therapy – estrogen or progesterone for women, androgens, and testosterone for men
  • Immunosuppressant medications
  • Interferons
  • Mood stabilizers
  • Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID’s)
  • Oral contraceptives
  • Parkinson’s disease medications
  • Steroids
  • Thyroid medications

I know this list sums up a bigger percentage of all drugs out there. Some people suffering from the illnesses will say that without the medications their condition could worsen up.

WE understand that. However, try not to rely on them too much. Change your diet. Do something more for the sake of your health.

Don’t expect the drugs to make miracles. Go and grab what’s yours and protect your health on a long term.
