Obama Backstabs Israel & Betrays Jews At UN – Here’s Why It Doesn’t Matter

Najib Razak is bragging how his administration has defeated the Jews in a resolution calling on Israel to stop the illegal building of settlements in Palestine. The Friday’s resolution was co-sponsored by New Zealand, Malaysia, Venezuela and Senegal. But Najib talks as if “Allah” has chosen him for the task, and he succeeded, making the God very pleased.

It’s not difficult to understand why Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak was closed to orgasm with his victory. It was the first time in 36 years the United Nations Security Council was able to adopt a resolution addressing the issue of Israeli settlement construction. Therefore, Najib found no reason not to make a mountain out of a molehill.

After all, it would be a success story which Mr. Najib will surely bitch during his upcoming 14th general election campaign. In order to divert attention from his 1MDB corruption and money laundering scandal, he is set to talk like a Superman, minus wearing the red underwear inside-out, to ignorant folks that it was him who managed to stop the brutal Jews regime.

In reality, the passage of the resolution was allowed simply because the Obama administration had instructed Ambassador Samantha Power to “abstain”. Yes, President Barack Hussein Obama, a known Muslim apologist, had broken a longstanding tradition of United States defending Israel at the United Nations – the first of its kind in 36 years.

However, Obama had only dared to “abstain”, not “in favour” like other 14 members who had voted to harshly criticize the country’s expansion of Jewish settlements in the Palestinian territories. Without the U.S. “veto”, which was a normal tradition vote in defence of Israel, naturally the resolution was successfully adopted by the Security Council.

Now that the resolution is successful, does that mean Israel in grave danger? Don’t be silly. It was just a harmless resolution to criticize and condemn, not an invitation to invade Israel. There’s nothing the world, including America and Russia, let alone Malaysia can do even if Israel shows its middle-finger while refuses to stop building settlements in Palestine.

But why did outgoing Obama administration betray the U.S. traditional friend Israel in the first place? U.S. President Barack Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s relationship has been tense since the first day the American president took office. From the issue of Palestine to the subject of military aid to Israel, both leaders couldn’t see eye to eye.

There had never been trust, let alone love, between both individuals throughout Obama’s eight years in White House. Everything started when Obama deliberately left Israel out of his first multi-day trip to the Middle East as president, when he visited Cairo and Saudi Arabia in June 2009 instead. The worst part – Obama reached out to all the Arab and Muslim world but “deliberately” didn’t go to Israel.

It was a tactical error – Obama sent a message that he didn’t like Israel and wouldn’t care two hoots about the Jews. In retaliation, Netanyahu called Obama anti-Israel and anti-Semitic, a sensitive and bigger deal than anything else. After realizing his silly mistakes, Obama had tried to make peace but the vengeful Netanyahu wasn’t impressed at all.

Their rivalry subsequently led to Netanyahu’s Oval Office “lecture” to Obama in May 2011. When Obama called on Israel to accept a return to territorial lines in place before the 1967 Arab-Israeli war, Netanyahu seized the opportunity and lectured the U.S. president against chasing what he called a Middle East peace “based on illusions” – in front of cameras and reporters.

American reporters were stunned, obviously, by Netanyahu’s public lecture, putting Obama in an extremely embarrassing position. Looking Obama squarely in the eye, Netanyahu almost screams – “While Israel is prepared to make generous compromises for peace, it cannot go back to the 1967 lines – because these lines are indefensible.”

Later, Netanyahu would embrace of Mitt Romney during the 2012 U.S. election campaign. In March 2015, Netanyahu delivered his speech to Congress, blasting Obama’s Iran nuclear negotiations, without the White House’s knowledge. Obviously, the latest stunt by Obama administration was his last jab at Netanyahu before leaving the Oval Office.

It was Egyptian officials who originally drafted the resolution, but after a secret conversation between incoming President Donald Trump and Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, Egypt pulled the resolution from consideration a few hours before it was scheduled for a vote. Therefore, it was only after Egypt’s withdrawal that the Friday’s “backup” resolution came into picture.

The resolution also says that Israel’s settlements in the Palestinian territories are illegal and demands that Israel cease expansion. But Israel can comfortably ignore the resolution because Trump is strongly behind the Jews. After the resolution was adopted, Donald Trump merely tweeted – “As to the U.N., things will be different after Jan. 20th.”

Trump’s tweet may look simple yet it carries tremendous weight. The United States provides considerable financial assistance to the United Nations and Security Council members. In 2015, a whopping US$2.957 billion was contributed by the U.S. to the U.N., about 20% of the total budget. Without the money, U.N. simply cannot function, let alone criticize or condemn Israel.

And the money to the U.N. is derived primarily from the President of the United States. Mr. Trump had previously questioned the need for the organization, criticising that other NATO countries were “not paying their fair share” in comparison with the United States. He told all and sundry that he would be fine if the obsolete NATO broke up.

Under Trump administration, he can simply reduce or cut the U.S.’ funding unless the U.N. plays ball – including back off from Israel. He has made known his anti-Muslim and pro-Israel stance. And the incoming U.S. Ambassador Nikki Haley, a strong Israel supporter, to the U.N. to replace Samantha Power will ensure Israel is protected like endangered species.

People who are celebrating should take the resolution with a pinch of salt. President Obama had pushed the anti-Israel resolution “behind Israel’s back” and cheekily wished the Jews a “Happy Hanukkah”. It was his personal vendetta against Netanyahu, although it’s true that he dislikes the Jews anyway. That’s why he chose to be surrounded by Muslims, including corrupted and radical Islamic terrorists.

Partly, it was Obama’s face saving effort – not to look like being intimidated by Trump – after the incoming new president demanded him to block the resolution. Mr. Trump has also vowed to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Everything done by Obama not liked by Trump would be reversed after January 20, 2017 – and that’s a promise.
