Starbucks experiments with coffee ice and baristas say it makes drinks taste better
Starbucks is yet again trying to get your attention and your money with their latest new drink option.
Baristas on Reddit have started discussing making drinks with coffee ice, which are essentially frozen cubes of coffee that cool your beverage just like ice cubes. But while ice cubes dilute your coffee when they melt, coffee ice just melts into more coffee.
According to Cosmopolitan, Starbucks would charge customers 80 extra cents to add coffee ice to any iced espresso or brewed beverage.
To think that Starbucks wants to charge you almost a whole extra dollar for something that people having been DIYing for years now. One quick search for "coffee ice" on Pinterest shows that this idea is not new or even novel anymore. Read more...
