KJ tickled by Azmin's Moroccan holiday explanation
KUALA LUMPUR: A laughing emoticon and a short clip from Kenya that gained international fame.
That is how Khairy Jamaluddin reacted to Economic Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali's explanation on his Moroccan vacation.
Sharing a video on Mohamed Azmin stating that he happened to bump into former Umno vice president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein in Morocco in denying that their families had vacationed there together recently, Khairy who is Rembau MP posted a laughing emoticon on Twitter.
Just a few minutes later, Khairy posted another tweet, "Azmin's excuse reminds me of this."
Together with the tweet is a short clip of a Kenyan parliamentarian apologising for having slapped another MP.
The 'apology' gained worldwide fame as it offered a twist many did not expect.
"I would like to apologise and I would like to say that, Mr Speaker, on that particular day, I did not slap (Charles) Njagua, it is his cheeks that moved towards my hands," Embakassi East MP Babu Owino told the Kenyan parliament.
The clip has since gone viral since the incident took place last year.
