Japanese Rugby Players Clean Up Field After Losing Match in Malaysia
A group of Japanese student-athletes are going viral on Twitter for their impeccable display of respect and courteousness by picking up cigarette butts and trash on the field after a rugby tournament in Malaysia.
The student rugby players, who were from Shizuoka Seiko Academy (SSA), were spotted and filmed cleaning the field during a rugby 7s event in Malay College Kuala Kangsar (MCKK), Perak, according to World of Buzz.

Many netizens commended the students’ display of respect despite losing their match in the tournament:
“The Japanese are instilled with the knack for cleanliness at a young age, if you’ve been to Japan you will know what it is like,” one Twitter user wrote.
“What a shame, even if you smoke, you should know how to discard it in the rubbish bin,” another one said.
This is not the first time the Japanese have showcased such civility. Last year, World Cup fans and supporters of the “Blue Samurai” from Japan stayed behind to clean up the stadium in Russia after winning their game against Colombia.
