Warisan sacks division chief contesting as independent
SABAH POLLS | Warisan has sacked a division chief who registered to contest as an independent in the Sabah state election.
Now-former Keningau party chief Jake Nointin is one of seven candidates contesting in Liawan against Warisan's official candidate, Rasinin Koutis as well as the candidates from PN, PBS, Usno, LDP and PCS.
Warisan secretary-general Loretta Padua announced Jake's sacking in a statement last night, citing the party's constitution which forbids a party member from contesting in an election without permission.
Basal Bullah has been appointed as the acting-Keningau Warisan chief in the meantime.
Yesterday, Warisan-ally DAP also sacked a member who will be contesting under a different flag.
Julius Favianus, who is attached to the Liawan DAP branch, was announced as the LDP candidate in the state seat for Bingkor.
He is contesting against DAP's own candidate Odom @ Peter Dhoms Saili @ Soili and candidates from PN, PBS, Usno and PCS. - Mkini
