Supportive buying seen for FBM KLCI

KUALA LUMPUR (May 16): The FBM KLCI is expected to hold on to its gains from Monday as some supportive buying is seen, in line with the overnight gains at most global markets.

Commodity-linked stocks and currencies got a lift on Monday from rising crude oil prices after major producers Saudi Arabia and Russia said they would extend oil supply cuts into 2018, according to Reuters.

Cyber-security shares also rose, after a hack that locked down hundreds of thousands of computers across 150 countries over the weekend, it said.
