UMNO Member Vows To Rally Across Malaysia To Protect The Sanctity And Good Name Of The Royal Institution

(Malaysian Digest) – In only just a little over a month the Pakatan Harapan has acted as the Federal Government, it has already made a number of controversial decisions. From appointing someone who’s embroiled in a corruption scandal as the finance minister to cancelling many major infrastructure projects, the PH government is no stranger to making puzzling and conflicting decisions.
But the straw that might break the camel’s back might be their action in pressuring the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (YDPA), Sultan Muhammad V to accept their nomination of a non-Muslim as the Attorney-General.
In their pursuit of naming Tommy Thomas as the Attorney-General, the PH government was seen to have pressured the YDPA into accepting their choice, although the YDPA was clearly hesitant to agree with it. By doing so, the PH government had undermined the power and the authority of the backbone of the country, the Royal institution.
Datuk A Kadir Jasin, a member of the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) supreme council claimed Sultan Muhammad V had a total of RM257 million allocated to him in the 16 months since his coronation, in an effort to create a perception that the YDPA is wasting the rakyat’s money.
Meanwhile Hishamuddin Rais, a pro-government activist answered A Kadir’s allegations by questioning: “Was the money used to buy ice or crystal meth (Both names of drugs)?”
Therefore, as a warning against these dissidents who dares question the authority and besmirches the good name of the Royal institution, Umno member, Datuk Lokman Noor Adam urges the rakyat to come and show their support towards the YDPA in a peaceful demonstration that will be held after Friday prayers tomorrow, at Masjid Negara.
“We want the present government to realise that the rakyat will not stand idly while the sanctity and the good name of the Royal institution is being sullied. We will also not remain silent if any Islamic institutions such as Jakim or the allocation to tahfiz schools is nullified.”
“We will not stand idle,” said Lokman when contacted by Malaysian Digest.
The Pemantau Malaysia Baru president also said that a police report has been made against both A Kadir and Hishamuddin but so far, no arrests have been made.
“As of now, the Sedition Act is still in place. They (the PH government) still haven’t repealed the Act. If they were able to fool the people into hating the previous Prime Minister, what more the Royal institution and Islamic institutions,” he stressed.
Speaking about the demonstration tomorrow, Lokman says he expects a turnout of 2,000 people, as he believes most Malaysians are still gripped with fear by how Dr Mahathir has treated protesters during his previous tenure as Prime Minister.
He adds that tomorrow’s demonstration will be the first of a series of demonstrations that will be held across Malaysia.
“We will demand for the arrest of A Kadir and Hishamuddin. I will personally rally for their arrest in every state,” said Lokman.
