Hearing fixed for Anwar's constitutional challenge of NSC Act
PKR president Anwar Ibrahim's challenge on the constitutionality of the National Security Council (NSC) Act 2016 will now be heard at the Kuala Lumpur High Court on Feb 27 next year.
The date was fixed by Justice Nordin Hassan in his chambers following a case management.
Initially, Anwar failed to obtain leave to challenge the case at the High Court and this decision was upheld by the Court of Appeal.
However, the Federal Court had ordered the case to be remitted back to the High Court earlier this month when the government did not object to Anwar's appeal.
This comes after the apex court had earlier granted leave for Anwar to challenge the constitutionality of the NSC Act.
