KUALA LUMPUR: The Dewan Rakyat sitting today is expected to be an important one, with various quarters waiting to see whether or not Budget 2021 will be passed.

If time permits, voting for the Supply Bill 2021 will be conducted shortly after nine remaining Members of Parliament complete winding up the debate on the Budget for their respective ministries.

The 2021 Budget is the first by the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government since taking over the federal government's administration last March.

It is allocating RM322.5 billion for next year's national expenditure.

According to the Order Paper for the Parliament sitting today, the issue of international border patrol control will also be raised during the Ministers' Question Time in light of the attack on two PGA members at the Malaysia-Thai border in Padang Besar, Perlis, two days ago.

The incident killed Sergeant Baharuddin Ramli, 54, and seriously injured Sergeant Norihan a / l Tari, 39.

The issue of corruption among government employees and developments on amendments to the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965 or Act 355 will also be discussed by the house. - Bernama
