Jamie Dornan quit social media because some people are horrible

Former mode Jamie Dornan has been working as an actor since 2006. But it was only in recent years that the 34-year-old Dornan had a spike in popularity thanks to his work on the TV series The Fall and in last year’s erotic flick Fifty Shades Of Grey.

Dornan assumes the role of Christian Grey again for two more films, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, which the actor and co-star Dakota Johnson had just finished filming back to back. However, with his new heartthrob status comes the ugly side of fame.

Dornan had to quit social media after getting abused online. He told Irish Daily Mirror: “The more (there’s) public interest in you, the more horrible people become. People start to say disgusting things about your family, about your children. What’s the point? To be honest, I was very inactive on it in the last year. To delete my Instagram … I had to e-mail my publicist to get the password. Twitter I used to have a bit of fun with back in the day but I think I’ve tweeted twice in the last year.”
