THESE BUGS RESIDE IN YOUR BED AND HARM YOUR LUNGS AND BACK WHILE YOU SLEEP – LEARN HOW TO KILL THEM QUICKLY, EASILY AND NATURALLY!
Dust mites, also called bed mites, feed on dead skin cells and sweat. Therefore, it is not surprising that they are highly dangerous and associated with allergies and even asthma.
Sweating creates the perfect conditions for dust mites to thrive and it is estimated that an average bed can have up to 1.5 million of them. According to the medical experts, an average adult sweats up to 1 liter of fluid a night, which is too much. Therefore, our bed is the perfect environment for these mites to breed. However, it has been also shown that fresh air and sunlight dehydrates them and thus kills them off.
The real problem doesn’t lie in their existence, but rather in the waste they leave behind. Namely, the inhalation of this waste is the one responsible for dust allergies and asthma. According to Carolyn Forte, the main director of the cleaning lab at the GHI (Good Housekeeping Institute), leaving the bed unmade for a while is the best and simplest way to protect yourself from dust mites, since the sheets get the chance to dry and dehydrate them.
Forte recommends making the bed after having breakfast and getting ready for work. However, you can also leave the bed unmade for the entire day. In addition to this, it is also recommended to wash the sheets on a regular basis. Every week or at least every two weeks works best. When washing the sheets, don’t forget the pillow cases!
In a nutshell, leaving the bed unmade exposes the mites to light and fresh air, which in turn dehydrates and kills them. So, if you want to make your bedroom a safer place to sleep, start doing this as soon as possible.
